Thirteen years ago, Chief Robert Garofalo and Gloria Garofalo started Operation Bark Drop with one simple goal: to make sure no pet went hungry during the holiday season.
What began with just a handful of volunteers and a few bags of pet food has grown into a cherished community tradition that now brings together businesses, first responders, community organizations, and volunteers who share one mission: helping animals in need.
Every year, our dedicated volunteers proudly become Elf Team Six, putting on their signature blue Santa hats and working side by side to ensure pets have food, comfort, and hope during the holidays.
Although Operation Bark Drop has grown tremendously over the past thirteen years, one thing has never changed. Its heart.
It is still about neighbors helping neighbors, communities coming together, and making sure no pet is forgotten.
